Feast of the Senses

Australian Food Fare – Friday 23 March

Tickets available Now  :  Book Here

Sponsored this year by one of our local major industry leaders, MSF Sugar, the Food Fare is one of our Showcase Events.    It is the official opening of the Feast of the Senses Festival and has now created its own following with attendees travelling from all over Queensland to be a part of the fun night.   This year the Festival’s theme is Australian Culture : Ancient and Modern – closing the cultural gap.    Because of this we have changed our Food Fare from International to Australian – and we intend to celebrate that which is now iconic to us as a nation.    Most of our modern culture has developed from immigrants from all corners of the earth that make Australia the way it is today.

The Australian Food Fare will reflect Australia’s local produce and its iconic traditional dishes of barbecues, some with an innovative twist.    There will be other dishes that we consider ‘Australian’ despite having ethnic origins – we have adopted as our own.    There will be Indigenous options, both traditional and innovative in keeping with this year’s theme of Australian Culture – Ancient and Modern.     And those with special requirements will be catered for – Celiacs and vegetarians amongst them.

Tropical fruit salad will again appear and of course, no Feast of the Senses festival would now be complete without our very own Banana Splits!    Although not in the league lengthwise of last year, they will be packed with tropical fruits and ice cream that has not melted!

The entertainment will also reflect our Australian theme with all music being Australian songs – ‘From Banjo to Barnsie’ – singalong songs that we all know.   There’ll be some new songs,  some local songs and some entertainment surprises too.    Bring along your dancing shoes and try some bush dances – expertly called by our entertainers.

Tickets for this magical night are $45.00 each.    Each ticket includes four food vouchers – more may be purchased if required, although we challenge you on that one.    Children under 15 will be $10 and this will include one food voucher.

There will be a cash bar on the night.

Tickets can be purchased through this site or visit us at 31 Rankin Street, Innisfail.
