The Scarecrow Competition

As part of the 2010 Feast of the Senses Festival we are running a Scarecrow Competition. This competition is open to all within the region and we are particularly encouraging all schools in the area to participate and 'represent' their school.

There are certain criteria which must be adhered to, but other than these imagination is all that is needed.
It is anticipated that we will have a “Scarecrow Trail” through Innisfail in the lead-up to the Market Day Extravaganza on Sunday 28 March 2010. Completed Scarecrows will be displayed in different shop windows from completion date.

It is also anticipated that we will have a “Scarecrow Trail to Innisfail” with the more robust, weatherproof models that can be displayed at strategic points along the main highway into Innisfail . Judging will be by panel, yet to be decided.

There will also be a People’s Choice award for those Scarecrows on the “Scarecrow Trail”.
